Book synopsis

Accounting Analytics: An Integrated Approach is free to read online, with free PDF, EPUB, and DOCX downloads. It connects accounting knowledge with Excel, SQL, and Power BI so that learners can move from an accounting question to data preparation, analysis, and an explanation supported by evidence. Financial accounting, managerial accounting, and auditing applications give the analytical work its purpose.

The Charles River Accounting Dataset provides the book's shared business environment. Learners can follow operational transactions and source evidence through subledgers and the general ledger, then relate their analytical results to the processes that produced the records. This process-to-ledger approach keeps accounting meaning visible as the tools change.

Five parts progress from accounting analytics foundations to spreadsheet preparation and analysis, SQL queries, Power BI models and reports, and integrated capstone cases. Comprehensive cases connect the parts; appendices support reference, report publishing, browser-based Power BI, and professional competencies. The complete chapters, tutorials, exercises, cases, and instructional files remain on the textbook website.
